TESTIMONIALS
"Coach
Martin, I just wanted to thank you for a great week of camp.
My 13 year old son, Jake, thoroughly enjoyed himself and learned
a great deal. From what I hear your program not only focused
on basketball fundamentals but added discipline and motivation
to the mix. It was exactly what Jake needed. Again, it was a
fun and informative week and we will certainly pass the word
that you guys have a great program. All the best."
- Mike Alexander (Parent of a camper)
"Thanks
for allowing me to come in and watch you guy’s
workout. I think it was the best workout I have seen when
it comes to structure and drills. Your workout is also
very well
planned
and it was right on time."
- David Anwar (Assistant Coach, University of Nebraska)
"Your
guys did a great job last night. It was a very well organized
session."
- Mike Blaine (Assistant Coach, Hampden-Sydney College)
"Thank
you for your wonderful efforts for these young men. Their development
is really showing! Several coaches from competitor
teams have commented to us on Danny's aggressiveness
and skills in taking on much bigger players on their teams very
effectively.
The "big guy" for one Virginia team refused
to show up for any more games in the Columbia tournament
after
Danny
effectively
shut him out of the first game. Thanks again!"
- Tim Brooks, Father of Danny (John Carroll student-athlete)
"As always, Chris and Mary Kate really had a great time
at camp!! I always make it a point to be there for
the closing ceremony because your speeches motivate me as well.
Thanks
for providing such a great opportunity to the children of Harford
County. You are a gifted coach, both on and off the court."
- Joan Buelow (Parent of a camper)
"Just
wanted thank you for the opportunity to come to your workout
last week. It was very impressive in how it was
run and the effort that your players put forth during those 2 hours."
- Jon-David Byers (Assistant Coach, Lebanon Valley College)
"Thank
you for being so understanding with my phone call and giving
Danny another look.
He really enjoyed himself
at your camp and tells me how he could keep in touch with new friends
if only he
had a cell phone. (not happening) He
was beyond thrilled that you moved him up. He said it made him
play
a smarter game.
He
likes basketball, and it motivated him more to be pushed
harder…so
thank you! I will tell my friends about
your camp, and am considering August for both of my boys. Thank
you Tony!"
- Trish Collins (Parent of a camper)
“I thought
the workout was one of the more intense I've seen so for. I continue
to be impressed with
your program and its improvement since you arrived.”
- Jason Crafton (Assistant Coach, Naval Academy)

the kids worked hard...and the workout was efficient and productive."
- Steve Curran (Assistant coach,

guys have been great. I only wish every program would exhibit
as much class and organization
as you all. Talk to you soon. "
- Kent Dernbach (Assistant Coach, Marymount University)
"I really
enjoyed it. The guys were paying attention and the practices
were fast paced and very
well organized. I am looking forward to coming down again soon and getting
Coach Dechellis
down as well. "
- Dan Earl (Assistant Coach, Penn State University)
“I truly
have never seen a better high school practice! I should not have
been surprised because I know you are a fine fundamental
teacher and coach.
I’m
sure you will have
a great year ahead.
You certainly
used your coaches
very well
also. As you
well know,
consideration for
them is very important
from
the top. Your
precision, excellent
attention
for all,
hustle,
well-taught drills,
progressions,
and meaningful
details will be
long remembered.”
- Charlie Fields
(Retired Coach)

alot for having Anthony participate in your camp. I was truly

apart of

Anthony excited!!!

your team work out. "

"I want
to congratulate you, Coach Martin, the rest of the coaching staff,
managers, and players for the accomplishments of this
team. I really enjoyed watching the grit and determination shown last
night to ensure victory against a motivated, quality
opponent. I also want to thank you for inviting me into the locker
room
and the opportunity to address the team. I am very proud of those fine,
young gentlemen. Best of luck the rest of the way.
- Jones, David E Mr USACHPPM (John Carroll Alum)
"Coach Martin,
I just wanted to send you a note to let you know how impressed
I
was with Logan's camp experience.
Before he attended
the session he had only ever played basketball a
handful of times in his life and that was for an hour for
about 5 Saturdays this
past winter. He's 6 years old and will be in the
first grade in the fall. I'm a North Carolina graduate,
so he's used to watching
me yell at the TV during the basketball season. He
told me he had decided that he wanted to play for them when
he goes to college.
I smiled and told him we'd get him signed up for
camp so he could learn how to play, and when he came home one
day from kindergarten
with one of your fliers, I immediately signed him
up.
So, all this is to say thanks for making Logan's first camp
a wonderful experience,
complete with a couple of life lessons thrown in:)
I will be happy
to share our experience with you all and recommend
you to anyone who will listen."
Thanks!
- Tanya McDowell (Parent of a camper)
“My sons
really thought it was worthwhile. They were impressed by your
knowledge of the game. I am even more impressed
with the way you handle and teach the kids. You are a good teacher and
really seem to enjoy what you do. I think that enables
you to relate
well to the kids.”
- Jim McNeely (Intensity Basketball client)
"Great
camp! My boys really enjoyed it!"
- Jeanie Miller (Parent of a camper)
"Hi Mr.
Martin, Just wanted to let you know that Leah thoroughly enjoyed
every
minute of camp.
This is the first camp she
has wanted to attend.
She was still
tentative and was talking about not going as late as
Sunday night. We encouraged her to try. By the time she came
home
on Monday
she was hooked.
Thanks for
a great week!! Thanks again."
- Rene Monaghan (Parent of a camper)
"I
thought you did an excellent job with your kids. The format
is great
for college coaches evaluation purposes. Both
Scott Burrell
and I have come back as huge
proponents of your program at the John Carroll School and we
have no doubt
your kids will be prepared
for college.”
- Tom Moore (Head Coach, Quinnipiac University)
"Thanks
a lot for a wonderful camp, my son loved it.. I love that you
throw
in a
little morals and
values.
Please don't stop that EVER."
- Deborah Pacitti (Parent of a camper)
"Tony
came in and took that program over that now they’re
a force to be reckoned
with. Thank you so much for having us up..you do a great
job. "
- Jimmy Patsos (Head Coach, Loyola College)
“I loved
the workout that you put your players through, it mimicked a
number of the same
drills that we do on the Division I level in our individual workouts both
with the
post players
and the
perimeter players. You covered
almost every aspect of the fundamentals of the game. I was extremely
impressed with
the
level of
the
workout and the intensity that the
players maintained throughout the workout.”
- Kevin Robinson (Assistant Coach, Mount St. Mary’s
University)
"Anthony
you guys are always thinking ahead. Continue the fine work. "
- Anthony Solomon (Assistant Coach, University of Notre Dame)
"Thank
you for allowing me to attend your open gym this spring. You
have done
a great job at John Carroll creating an environment that allows young men
to challenge
each
other
through hard
work and competitive drills,
while at the
same time creating lasting friendships. I wish I had that opportunity
as a high school
player. "
-Zach Spiker (Assistant Men's
Basketball Coach, Cornell University)
"Good
Morning Coach Tony and Staff, We did want to take time to
thank you for
another
great year.
This is truly one of Noah's
most favorite camps.
He truly gets a lot out of
his time
with you all.
My hope
is
that Noah will be a Patriot
in the future. Each year
I am very impressed
with the students that work
for the camp.
My husband and I also would like
to thank you
again for your willingness to work
with us this
year.
Until next year!"
- Angela Taylor-Carter (Parent
of a camper)
“I have
always been impressed with Coach Martin's teams.”
- Leonard Trevino (Head Coach, Goucher College)
“I
was very impressed with today's clinic. I particularly liked
your positive message and the strong reminders about academics.
Thanks
for taking your time on Sundays to run this camp. My kids
are already looking forward to next week.”
- Mark Wennersten (Parent of a camper)
"Extremely
well organized, and you did great fundamental work with them – which
is the most important thing you can be doing, in my opinion.
I am sure I will be thru there
many more times. "
- Brent Williams (Head Coach, Marquette University)
"Alex
really enjoys this camp. This is his 2nd year and he will probably
come
every summer. Thanks for making it
enjoyable for the kids!"
- Patricia Wroe (Parent of a camper)
“Just a quick update from Bryant – Erick
and Raph are both doing well. They seemed to have gotten
off to a good start
in the classroom and their efforts on the basketball court
thus far has been excellent. Their ability to quickly adapt to
the rigors
of Bryant and Division 1 reflects well on you and your Coaching
staff. I will try to keep you updated as the season progresses.”
- Tim O’Shea (Bryant University)
“I
just wanted to thank you again for having us in your gym on Saturday.
For a young coach like myself it's
great to see
different styles and workouts. You guys do a good job with
your players. I'm looking forward to seeing all that young talent
develop
over the next few years.”
-Dan Engelstad (Assistant Coach, Mt. St. Mary’s University)
